Most management companies in town require residents to get their carpet cleaned before they move.  Here are 3 quick tips that can help you get your deposit money back after checkout regardless of who you call for cleaning.

1. Call early before the day you are leaving to schedule a carpet cleaning.  If you wait till the last minute to get your carpet cleaned, it might be hard to book an appointment, since often times the end of the month is busy for all carpet cleaning companies in town.

2. Make sure the company you call uses “steam cleaning” and a truck mounted system.  Some companies only offer portable equipment carpet cleaning, and, although this is not bad, most of the management companies in town require truck mounted steam cleaning.

3. Beware of the lowest price.  Sure, you want to save money, but sometimes spending more for a company you know is going to show up is worth a few extra dollars.  Some companies that quote low prices don’t even clean the carpet, they go into the apartment after it is empty, vacuum, spot clean and collect your money.  We have re-cleaned these kinds of situations many times.
